Big Stone Golf Course offers a distinctive nine-hole layout where each set of tees provides a fresh and strategic challenge. With a course slope of 111 and a 32.9 USGA rating, accuracy on approach shots is key to scoring well. Our greens are consistently fast, true and professionally maintained.
Relaxed Vibes with Respect for Nature
To comply with Wisconsin law, outside coolers and beverages are not permitted. Our clubhouse staff will gladly prepare a stocked cooler with your favorite drinks and ice for on-course use.
From deer and geese to our iconic swans, Gus & Gertrude, the course is home to diverse wildlife. We prioritize environmental stewardship by using only eco-friendly products and methods. Please respect the animals that share this beautiful land—it’s their home, too.

Course Policies
Rain Check Policy
We know weather in the Northwoods can change fast. To ensure fairness:
- Rain checks are issued when fewer than 6 holes are completed
- Players must return to the clubhouse immediately to claim the rain check
- Rain checks are valid through the end of the 2026 season
- Rain checks must be presented at check-in to receive credit
NO CASH REFUNDS will be given under any circumstances.
